I must be some country freak; old country music soothes my heart. It reminds me of us. Am young, can’t believe the old country music was our relaxation songs. We loved other music too, when we went out, partying we listened to all the crazy lovely music that goes on round us, but when it got down to just us, it was the old country songs, and I still do remember when am lying on my bed and staring long at the ceiling.
It’s not easy to justify your love for country when you are the millennium teenager or youth, but my soul, rises to country, because it’s where I met the love of my life.
One school holiday I had to go camping, and of course it was some gal thing, just before I finished my senior high, I don’t remember missing anyone the way I missed him. I would lie down face up on the grass at the mountainous hills and take a good look at the stars, and wonder if he was looking at the same stars too. That was some ages ago, and I grew loving him,
If you ever asked me, did I see the end…how do you see the end, when the stars live in your eyes?
When you are in love, that teen love your heart beats with every thought of whom you love. Every breath is a breath of love; you close your eyes like Barbie doll, magically, smoothly. I grew out of that, teenie crushy, goose bump love, when I went to college, and he would stand outside the lecture hall, beckoning me behind the doors if am not done yet., I figured you don’t grow too big for goose bumps
It still makes me smile, I mean wasn’t that stupid or what? But when you are in love, stupid has a different meaning. The things you do mean the whole world to who you love, and to you. I would say gosh, you were supposed to do this in high school….but I did it in college too, and I still did it when I was looking for a job, and am sure I would have done it, still years to come…get the goose bumps!
Love takes you places. Love builds you.
Am lost now without you, But I have not given up on love, because you taught me that loves doesn’t give up on anyone
