Volunteer

My take today is nice and slow, I am a few days from been born, and you know I sure hope i could really slow down , breathe in and out at my own pace... but I always end up making it to the office even in days like these, then everytime I promise am just going to be in the office for a few hours then call it a day...well a few hours always turn into a whole day, and its so routine I just get lost into it.
Am trying to help a friend start a volunteer group, in church. He is a Brother at the local church, in my hometown and he thought I could put in some managerial skills from working in projects to help him set it up. I agree, I could come up with some valuable skills that could largely contribute to tbe success of his vision for a volunteer group, but am a little dissappointed in him. We had talked about this a few weeks back and from invitations to attend the service, back home we were successful in setting up the very first meeting in which he was supposed to propose the idea that he has, to potential members. That happened and interested memebrs were suppposed to find out about activities they could get involved in, where they could offer community service, but since then I have not seen or heard from him, attempts to reach him are null. The second meeting is tomorrow and well, am a liitle bit lost here,am yet to hear from him!! I hope he is fine
Volunteering is a great way of helping others, its fulfilling, satisfying, and its an experience that you can only cherish once you have gone through it. Its a nice way to spend your time too, giving and never expecting back. We are given so that we might be givers.
